Copart UK fees
Above calculator includes all the hidden fees which you are not aware of when bidding and buying on Copart. It also calculates BreakerBid4U related fees for Category B vehicles. It is worth noting that if the vehicle is located in Ireland, you will be charged in Euros. Else, you will be charged in British Pounds.
If you are buying a Category B, then you will have to pay following Copart fees:
- buying fee
- bidding fee
- payment fee
These fees (and those from BreakerBid4U) are based on the final bid/purchase price of the vehicle.
There are additional fees such as membership fee, late payment, storage fee, etc but they are out of scope for this calculator.

Copart buying fee
High volume members enjoy a good discount on buying fee. If you bought 12 or more vehicles in the previous calendar year, you will be classified as a high volume member.
If you are a low volume member but has purchased 12 or more vehicles in the current calendar year, you will enjoy the high volume member rate on all future vehicle purchases in the same calendar year.

Copart bidding fee
How and where you bid for your vehicle add to your overall fee too.
If you are at a Copart location and use the provided kiosk, there will be no fee.
If you use the terminals at a Copart location, there will be an additional charge based on your final sale price.
There will be even more bidding fee if you use your own devices, either at a Copart location or not.

Copart payment fee
For UK buyers, you can pay Copart through following methods:
- CHAPS Transfer
- Faster Payments
- Payment by BACS Bank Transfer
- Payment by International Bank Transfer (IBAN)
- Money Mover
- Debit – subject to acceptance
- Credit Card
- Payment by Cash (suspended due to COVID-19)

BreakerBid4U fees
If you want to buy category B vehicles for parts but don’t have the required licences then BreakerBid4U is perfect for you. It is a buying and breaking service by Copart. It buys directly from the auction on your behalf and then rent you a breaker bay so you can remove the parts you need.
BreakerBid4U is only to UK buyers.
Before you use this service, you need to submit a bid form.
Besides the standard Copart fees, you also need to pay additional fees:
- internet convenience fee ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- breaker bay rental
- transport cost
Other fees such as re-scheduling fee, late payment fee, storage fee, etc are out of scope for this calculator.

Internet convenience fee
This is a confusing name but it is the same as Copart bidding fee. It is based on where you bid for your vehicle, from non-kiosk or on your device (live bid).
If you pay this fee, then you don’t have to pay Copart bidding fee.

Breaker bay rental
You will need to rent a breaker bay to remove all the parts you want. Refer to this page for more info on the breaking session.
Non-members and non-active members need a deposit of £250 or a sum equal to 10% of their maximum bid amount, whichever is the greater amount.
