United States Depop Fees Structure

Depop is the online marketplace for selling some pre-loved items or picking up some vintage clothing. With over 15 million registered users, it is very quick to set up your own store and starts selling straight away.

Depop does not charge a listing fee and sellers can list as many products as they like.

The only fees charged are:

  • A flat 10% selling fee
  • Transaction fee

You can send your orders through either with ‘Ship With Depop’ (through USPS) or other couriers. There is an option to charge the buyer shipping. If the buyer pays for the shipping, the 10% selling price will be based on the sale price plus shipping charged.

For payment processing, you can choose either PayPal or Depop Payments. PayPal charges 3.49% + $0.49 while Depop Payments’s fee is 3.3% + $0.45.

Since late 2020, Depop is required to collect sales tax on sellers’ behalf. The selling fee is calculated base on the sold price + shipping charged only. Whereas the transaction fee is calculated base on the sold price + shipping charged + sales tax.

For more information on sales tax, you can refer to Depop’s sales tax FAQs.

For example, the sale price of an item is $10 and the shipping charged/cost is $2.

  • Total Depop fee → $1.20 + $0.87 = $2.07
