United States Reverb Fees Structure

Different from eBay or Amazon, Reverb is an online markplace that targets music gear lovers. You can find new, used, and vintage music equipment on it.

As a seller on Reverb, you will need to pay for:

  • selling fee
  • payment processing fee

The selling fee is a flat 5% of the total sale price (list price + shipping charged).

You can either use Reverb Payments or PayPal for payment processing. Reverb Payments costs 2.7% + $0.25 while PayPal charges 3.49% + $0.49. The payment processing fee is calculated base on the total transaction amount (list price + shipping charged + sale tax).

There are also some optional fees:

  • Bump fee (sponsored listing)
  • Ship With Reverb label
  • Cross-border processing fee
  • Currency conversion processing fee

How to calculate Reverb fees

Let's say your item is sold for $90 and you charged $10 for shipping. The sales tax is 5%.

A normal seller using Reverb Payments
Reverb selling fee → ($90 + $10) * 0.05 = $5
Sales tax (charged to buyer) → ($90 + $10) * 0.05 = $5
Payment processing fee → (($90 + $10 + $5) * 0.027) + $0.25 = $3.09
Total fees → $5 + $3.09 = $8.09

A preferred seller using Reverb Payments
Reverb selling fee → ($90 + $10) * 0.05 = $5
Sales tax (charged to buyer) → ($90 + $10) * 0.05 = $5
Payment processing fee → (($90 + $10 + $5) * 0.025) + $0.25 = $2.88
Total fees → $5 + $2.88 = $7.88

Any seller using PayPal
Reverb selling fee → ($90 + $10) * 0.05 = $5
Sales tax (charged to buyer) → ($90 + $10) * 0.05 = $5
Payment processing fee → (($90 + $10 + $5) * 0.0349) + $0.49 = $4.15
Total fees → $5 + $4.15 = $9.15
